India Inc experts today are realising the impact a good “physical” work environment can have on employee productivity.
If it wasn’t already enough, the average Indian works for about 68 hours a week, and there always is the pressure to meet deadlines. Hence, it is extremely important that working professionals de-stress effectively in order to perform better. Ravikant Banka, chairman and MD, Eggfirst BNN explains, “In a city like Mumbai, where people are constantly on the move, there is a dire need for them to be in touch with their inner selves. As, in a competitive world like today’s, it is extremely crucial to deliver.” Executives strive hard to maintain stress levels to the bare minimum. But what better way to relax than to do so at work? “The reason we dedicate an entire floor to a recreational area is that, being an advertising agency, we realise the value for productivity. We hope to give our employees a place where they can relax and de-stress. A direct result of a positive environment is a better score chart,” adds Banka. Helping your employees relax while at work is a strategy, which cannot possibly have any negative ramifications. Even though it is a notion that people work better under pressure, it is a known fact that they are more efficient when relaxed.

The only way one’s hard-work pays off is being noticed by those who matter. Our work was not only noticed but also given its due credit by the Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI) at their 50th Annual Awards Nite. At a function held on the 11th of November, 2010, we were awarded Bronze for our print ad. The feeling was like no other!
Adding glamour to our evening and widening our proud smiles was the presence of the big-daddies of the industry. It was nothing short of an honour to receive our award before the likes of Piyush Pandey, Gerson DaCunha, Sam Pitroda and a whole list of dignitaries. We believe that the award is but a responsibility put upon us to outperform ourselves, year after year. This, we promise, is just the beginning.

An oft lazy Sunday was surprised with the Eggfirst Team dressed in their trademark orange parade down the Fatima High School ground at Vidyavihar for a day of sheer football glory. Kicks flew as did the slang and goals and misses ruled the audience pulse.
The hot sun, the beautiful game and beer were the perfect heady cocktail to the Sunday oft lazily spent!

Excitement culminated in a wonderful launch party for Eggfirst BBN India. Held at Eggfirst Villa, the party saw the agency’s close friends and associates, also referred to as clients, turning out to support their trusted partner.
Eggfirst formally announced its new avatar, Eggfirst BBN India. In addition, the highlight of the evening was the launch of Eggfirst BBN India’s very own book, Exposed – 51 Client-Agency love stories. The book is a humorous take on the typical situations that define the client-agency relationship. A specially designed cake, encouraging everyone to cut out clichés, crowned the launch announcement.
While Eggfirst BBN India’s launch was definitely the talking point of the evening, Eggfirst Villa, Eggfirst BBN India’s new office, also left an impression on everyone. Inspired by nature, Eggfirst Villa is an ideal nest for an ad agency where creativity needs an encouraging environment (see the pictures here)..
All in all, warmth and joy was the flavor of the evening as Eggfirst BBN India, joined by its gang of well-wishers, looks forward to an exciting journey ahead.
